Checklist Before Your Appointment
Hey gorgeous! I'm so excited for your upcoming makeup or hair appointment! To make sure you have the best possible experience, I've put together a little checklist to help you prepare.
What to do Two Months Prior to your appointment
If you've had any skin/lip fillers or wrinkle relaxers, make sure to schedule your appointment at least two months before your makeup session. This will give your skin plenty of time to settle and any bruising to fade.
Consider adding exfoliation to your regular skincare routine to improve your skin texture and don't forget to moisturize. Don't neglect your lips either, lightly exfoliate them with a lip balm to keep them soft and smooth.
What to do One Week Prior to your appointment
Any facial waxing or dermaplaning should be done at least one and a half weeks before your makeup appointment. This includes eyebrows, too! If you wait until the last minute, foundation won't stick to freshly waxed or shaved skin, which can cause patchiness.
If you plan to get your brows and lashes tinted, make sure to do it at least a week before your appointment. I can always darken brows, but it's hard to make them lighter. And if the tint has stained your skin, it can be tough to adjust the shape.
What to do Two Days Prior to your appointment
Book your tan appointment now! It's a good idea to schedule your tanning appointment ideally 2 days before your makeup application. A light spray on the face is recommended to ensure it blends well with the rest of your body. If you're new to tanning, it's a good idea to do a trial beforehand.
What to do The Night Prior to your appointment
Cleanse your skin and remove all makeup, including mascara residue.
Do a light exfoliation to remove any flaky skin cells, and moisturize your face and lips with a hydrating balm or chapstick
What to do The Morning Of your appointment
Cleanse your skin again and apply moisturizer and lip balm.
Wash your hair either the night before or the morning of your appointment, but make sure it's dry!
Remember that you don't have to wear any makeup to your appointment. I'll take care of creating a beautiful look on your fresh, bare face. So just come as you are, and we'll have some fun creating the perfect look for you!
Is there anything else you need to bring?
I always recommend carrying a clear or nude lip gloss with you. It's a great way to touch up your lips throughout the day.
As part of my service, I'll be giving you a mini touch-up bag that includes a bit of lip color or gloss and a cotton bud.
And don't forget to bring a comb for any hair touch-ups!
